This is a fascinating book from several different perspectives. First, the story's based on fact, upon the unsolved mystery of the world's biggest ever bank robbery, set in Beirut. That's interesting in its own right, especially as none of the loot has ever surfaced and nobody - apparently - has the slightest idea who might have done it. Taking that as the core of the story, the author then weaves an all-too-believable thriller around the event, involving the SAS and a smattering of other special forces' characters, plus some really nasty bad guys. The story has the unmistakable ring of possible, or even probable, truth about it, and it's clearly written by an author who knows exactly what he's talking about - which is no surprise when you look at Damien Lewis's track record. For anyone who enjoys stories about The Regiment, or just a thoroughly exciting adventure yarn, this book is a must. Buy it, read it and enjoy it! Thoroughly recommended.
