The basic story line was really fascinating and for the first half of the book you are left guessing about why Anna is injured and what is the story with her husband. The book builds up to giving you the answer to this and then the second half of the book was a bit of a let down which reverted to a standard ditsy chick lit type of book. Nothing wrong with the chick lit genre at all, but, by then, my expectations had been built up to expect something a whole lot deeper. The end was also a bit of a let down and the relationship between Joey and Jacqui was either unnecessary or underdeveloped. That said, I enjoyed reading it but still it felt like a missed opportunity which could have gone further to become a really interesting novel.
