Yes I know it wouldn't make a novel out of the story if she gets together with her man when she has the opportunity but I found myself several times in this book saying out loud "that wouldn't happen". Events which cause the two main characters to yet again drift apart seem to fill this book. I like the format of the book, in email, text and letter. You never have a straight reporting of an event but the mention of what happened in the conversations afterward which made me think about the plot rather than having everything put on a plate. I also liked the characters and thought that the repeat of friendship in the daughter was quite a good trick. The ending was predictable but I'd have been cross if it had been any other way.
