Told by John Jacob Turnstile, a young lad with a history of problems, who one day gets caught for stealing a pocket watch from a gentleman. Turnstile get the opportunity to either spend 1 year in jail or join the crew of the Bounty, a ship that is sailing to the island of Tahiti to collect Breadfruit. On board Turnstile is the servant to Captain Bligh, a man who shown to have a bad temperment at times, but is one of the fairest Captains of the times. The crew face trials and tribulations as they make their year long journey to Tahiti and it is when they reach the island that problems arise. This is a surprisingly well told version of the mutiny on the Bounty. Enjoyable.
