I was gripped from the outset with this book and when I came to post my review I was surprised by such a mixture of reviews. I'd like to have given it 4.5 stars but as that's not an option, 5 it is. A really fast thriller that is truly entertaining. Such an amazing concept for a story line and because I really did want to know what was going to happen I would've had to have kept reading even if I wasn't enjoying it. All the characters are extremely well written in the novel. I liked the relationship between Cythia and her husband Terry. It was interesting to see how he dealt with everything that had happened before meeting Cynthia, something that he had lived through, via her, for as long as they had been together. The action kept me hooked, granted there were predictable bits, and naturally some parts weren't as well-written as others. However, overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had everything a good thriller needs and there were bits where my heart was racing. I do wish I'd had time to read this one from cover to cover, as I do with some others; it just wasn't possible on this occasion. 'No Time for Goodbye' is easy to read and the chapters are reasonable length. There are places where you might get restless but the action soon starts up again. There's a spot about 3/4 of the way through where it became tedious, it's something that Cynthia does and I just thought to myself, "no, this wouldn't happen" but I just carried on and I'm pleased I did. I'd had this book on my shelves for a while and was prompted to get it down as I like to follow the 'Richard & Judy' summer book club. No doubt this book will receive lots of publicity now but deservedly so as it's a great read. Enjoy!
