The skin texture is smooth and silky. Fits nicely almost so that you hardly notice its there, lightweight, great for those lazy play in bed days. Thats the 3 stars. ..The not so good is the flap at the back of the case that joins the front and back together is actually stuck together with double sided sticky tape, one week into owning it my daughter had mistakenly peeled it apart very easily, trying to open the DSL, only to realise she had it the wrong way round. ..Having to remove the case when charging DSL as the case prevents the jack from being fully flush.(to my dismay after leaving it on charge for 3hrs only to find it had not charged). Overall it is still one of the best silicone skins on the market,keeping the DS free from the dreaded fingerprints and smudges that are all so visible on the new DSlite.
